Piece of history saved...for now

"The British Grand Prix will be at Silverstone for the next five years after a deal was signed today between Formula One and the circuit's owners.

The agreement brings to an end months of uncertainty and acrimony between the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC) and Bernie Ecclestone. " The Times

Silverstone is the birth place of Formula 1. It will be a sad day when it will be dropped out of Formula 1 calendar. And I believe it will be, unless it finds new investors. New modern racetracks are opened around the world; hundreds of millions is spend to build these high-tech tracks. I wonder why Silverstone haven't been able to find investors to bring back its glory and give it the needed facelift.

Has England become the back country of racing?
